About This Project

Funding Amount: $1000

Doing My Part helped donate $1000 to Conner for a custom wheelchair!

Conner is a 4 year old who is battling a rare disease called Brittle Bone Disease. He has broken over 100 bones since birth including his skull.

Conner breaks bones at the slightest of falls and has broken over 100 bones (that's a broken bone about every two weeks since he was born.)

Earlier this year while trying to push away from the dinner table to play with his four siblings including his twin sister, Conner’s chair tipped over. He fell shattering several bones and crushing part of his skull. Conner suffered brain bleed from the incident and had to have emergency surgery.

A local ministry called All Things Possible helped put together an event in South Carolina to raise funds for Conner and his family because their insurance wouldn't cover a new chair for him. His mother says the new custom chair will help prevent accidents like that from happening.

Doing My Part raised $1000 in no time to help give back to Conner for his new chair. Using DMP's $1000 donation along with others from the event, they were able to raise $4000 and get his chair ordered. Conner and his family went home feeling safe and protected.
